Raipur. The strike of cement transporters in Chhattisgarh, which has been going on for almost 25 days, ended late on Friday night. Discussions took place between the cement transporters and the company’s representatives in the mediation of the Transport Minister. After which the companies have given consent to increase the transport fare.

According to information received from cement transporters, cement companies have agreed to increase the freight by 13 percent. It has been decided to constitute a committee regarding the remaining demands. Which will sit with the transporters and take a decision after looking at all the aspects.

Let us tell you that there are about 12 plants including small and big ones in Chhattisgarh. But the supply was affected due to the strike of the transporters everywhere. Earlier in the month of February, the fare was increased by 12 percent. Thus, in the last one year, cement companies have increased the freight by 25 percent. According to cement transporters, the supply of cement will be normal in the next one or two days.
