Raipur: Taking a strong stand on the untoward incident that took place in the hostel of Jashpur district, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has directed the Collectors and Superintendents of Police of all the districts to conduct surprise inspections of all the hostels under his district from time to time.

He has directed all the district collectors to deploy the duties of District Education Officer, Assistant Commissioner Tribal Development and other senior district level officers for inspection of government hostels. During the inspection, the inspecting officer will interact with the children living in the hostel and submit the report after taking feedback related to the activities conducted in the hostel.

He said that if any officer or employee working in government hostels is found negligent in discharge of his duties or is found to be involved in immoral activities during the inspection, immediate action will be taken against the concerned officer or employee for suspension/FIR etc. To be done

The Chief Minister said that strict action should be ensured against officers and employees who are negligent in discharging their duties or indulge in unethical activities so that untoward incidents do not recur.
